Softball Recap: Port Huron Comes Up Short

Port Huron came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Yale Bulldogs. The Red Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Bryn Mullins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Tazaree Smith also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Port Huron's loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Huron will host Port Huron Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yale, they will be playing at home against Almont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
