Softball Recap: Dimond Comes Up Short

Dimond lost to Chugiak back in June of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lynx came up short against the Mustangs, falling 19-4. The Lynx have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dimond saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalessa Alenepi, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Clara Estabrook also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Dimond's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Dimond will take on South Anchorage at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lynx's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Chugiak, they will be playing at home against Service at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
