Giselle Alcala posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
