Baseball Recap: Brevard HEAT Takes a Loss

Brevard HEAT fell victim to St. Edward and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in February.

Brevard HEAT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Kusky, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Brevard HEAT's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-13. As for St. Edward's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Brevard HEAT will head out on the road to challenge Bayside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Firehawks are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Edward's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Port St. Lucie at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Pirates' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Jaguars have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
