Football Recap: East/World of Inquiry Piles Up the Points Against Wilson Magnet

East/World of Inquiry had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed past the Wilson Magnet Wildcats to the tune of 48-6. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Taye Brown Jr., who threw for 159 yards and two TDs on only ten passes, and also rushed for 61 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (112.5).

Brown Jr. was just one part of a punishing run game: East/World of Inquiry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

East/World of Inquiry's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Tymere Gilbert, Jamie Anderson, and Ramere Dunbar, who each picked up one sack apiece.

East/World of Inquiry's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wilson Magnet, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

East/World of Inquiry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson Magnet, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-6 defeat against East on the 24th.
