Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Panthers vs. Pekin Dragons

The Washington Panthers will head out to face off against the Pekin Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Washington and five for Pekin.

On Thursday, Washington didn't have quite enough to beat Metamora and fell 2-1. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redbirds 25-20 in the first set.

Washington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Pekin came up short against Eureka on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Pekin may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 15 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Pekin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Washington beat Pekin 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
