It was a good run, but Strasburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the James Wood Colonels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Strasburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Adkins, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for James Wood, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Strasburg will welcome Rappahannock County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rappahannock County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Strasburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for James Wood, they are taking a road trip to challenge Manassas Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
