Lakewood is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Squalicum on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars were outmatched by the Storm and fell 56-7. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison took a blow against Sehome on Friday, falling 42-7. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Mariners: they've now lost seven in a row.

Burlington-Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
