Carbondale can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Granite City Warriors 49-13. The Terriers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

It was another big night for Davin Wooley, who threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards and a pair of scores. What's more, he racked up 137.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Synsear Scott-Ross, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two TDs.

Carbondale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Emilio Isspeih and Cordaveon 'CJ' Jones.

Carbondale's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Granite City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carbondale will take on Herrin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Granite City, they will square off against Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
