Baseball Game Preview: Farmington Knights vs. Notre Dame Bulldogs

The Farmington Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Notre Dame Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Farmington is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Farmington proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Windsor, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since April 24, 2024.

Farmington got a great performance from Arthur Robbins as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Robbins a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Aiden Redmond was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dexter.

Farmington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Farmington came up short against Notre Dame when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
