New Hanover has been on a difficult stretch since their win on February 25. They lost 9-0 to the Ashley Screaming Eagle on Friday. While losing is never fun, New Hanover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Ashley are ranked sixth).

New Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Ashley, they pushed their record up to 10-0-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Hanover will host Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoggard will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Ashley surely won't give up without a fight.
