Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covington). They breezed past the Hamilton Wildcats to the tune of 75-5 on Friday. The squad ran away with 64 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Covington found their leader in sophomore TaKyra Boddie, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 21 points along with eight boards and five steals. Boddie is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Brown, who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points.
Covington is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points over those games. Hamilton dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
As of now, neither Covington nor Hamilton have any future games scheduled.
