Softball Recap: Escambia County Comes Up Short

Escambia County lost against W.S. Neal last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils lost 19-4 to the Eagles. The Blue Devils' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Zyneria McNeal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenleigh Madison, who scored a run and stole a base.

Escambia County's record now sits at 1-8. As for W.S. Neal, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.

Escambia County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for W.S. Neal, they will square off against Hillcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
