Baseball Recap: Neosho Takes a Loss

Neosho lost against Joplin back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 6-1 to the Eagles. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Neosho saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Workman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Neosho has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-4 record this season. As for Joplin, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Coming up, Neosho will host Republic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Joplin, they will head out to square off against Springfield Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
