Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short on the Road Against Collinwood

Mt. Pleasant kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Collinwood Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-13.

Collinwood was led to victory by Claire Scott and Brinlee Gaston. Scott had 12 digs and one assist, while Gaston had seven digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Gaston a new career-high.

Collinwood pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mt. Pleasant has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lewis County on the 21st. As for Collinwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 0-0 tie against Summertown on the 21st.
