Basketball Recap: Eudora Comes Up Short

Eudora lost against Baldwin last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eudora Cardinals took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 14th).

It was another big night for Cooper Carr, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 21 points in addition to six steals and five boards for Baldwin. Carr is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games he's played. Ethan Smasal was another key player, putting up five points.

Eudora has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Baldwin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eudora will welcome Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ottawa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ottawa comes in on 17 and Baldwin on seven.
