Basketball Game Preview: Noxapater Tigers vs. Winona Tigers

Noxapater will head out to take on Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Noxapater will be strutting in after a victory while Winona will be coming in after a loss.

Noxapater lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Eupora, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Tigers blew past the Eagles 48-25 on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Winona duked it out with North Panola on Friday. The Tigers were dealt a 61-10 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winona's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Noxapater, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Noxapater against Winona in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Noxapater since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
