River Valley is 9-1 against Wellston since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The River Valley Raiders will head out to challenge the Wellston Golden Rockets at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (River Valley has seven straight wins, Wellston has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, River Valley was fully in charge, breezing past Meigs 61-23. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wellston came up short against Alexander on Monday, falling 58-32. While losing is never fun, the Golden Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 616th, while the Spartans are ranked 252nd).

River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Wellston, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

River Valley came up short against Wellston in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 45-36. Can River Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
