Seven must be Ruston's lucky number: they beat Ponchatoula with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Bearcats beat the Green Wave by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The victory got Ruston back to even at 11-11. As for Ponchatoula, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-9 record this season.

Ruston will take on Pineville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Ponchatoula, they will face off against Covington at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
