Basketball Recap: Lakota Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lakota hadn't done well against Elmwood recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lakota Raiders strolled past the Elmwood Royals with points to spare, taking the game 62-45. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lakota's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Elmwood, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota will host Woodmore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakota knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Woodmore likes a good challenge. As for Elmwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vanlue at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
