Recap: Dugway Mustangs vs. Telos
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Vernon, the Dugway Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Telos by a score of 58-50. For Dugway, this counts as revenge for the 56-28 defeat Telos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Dugway got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hazen Bullcreek out in front who scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bullcreek has scored at least a third of Dugway's points. Tanner Thackeray was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Dugway's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Telos, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dugway will take on Utah School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dugway is coming into the match with nine straight victories at home, so Utah School for the Deaf & Blind is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Telos, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Mount Vernon is ranked 121st, while Telos is ranked 141st).
