Volleyball Recap: Klein Collins Takes a Loss

Klein Collins was the 3-0 winner over Magnolia West when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Magnolia West scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Chandler Carter paced Klein Collins' offense, picking up 19 kills. Carter got some help from Zoe Stuhlmiller and her 37 assists. Addie Strahl controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Magnolia West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lola Jordan led the charge by getting 20 digs. Jordan has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Klein Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 17-17. As for Magnolia West, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

Looking ahead, Klein Collins will take on Klein at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Magnolia West, they will face off against Tomball at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
