Basketball Recap: George School Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Peddie

George School is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Peddie. The George School Cougars fell just short of the Peddie Falcons by a score of 68-65. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

George School's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Peddie, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the George School Cougars face off against the Phelps Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peddie, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blair Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
