Basketball Recap: Lebanon Trail Takes a Loss

Lebanon Trail lost against Emerson back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers were outmatched by the Emerson Mavericks and fell 73-33. While losing is never fun, the Trail Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Mavericks are ranked 211th).

Lebanon Trail's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deniz Aral, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Joaquin Gibson, who scored nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lebanon Trail and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Emerson, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Lebanon Trail didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-42 loss against Denison on the 28th. Emerson has also already played their next contest, a 71-65 defeat against Lewisville on the 28th.
