Basketball Recap: Woodson Comes Up Short

Woodson suffered their biggest defeat since February 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 96-35 loss at the hands of the Perrin-Whitt Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1124th, while the Pirates are ranked 407th).

Despite the defeat, Woodson saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gunner Oliver went 5 of 8 on his way to 16 points.
