            Charlottesville hasn't had much luck against Western Albemarle recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Black Knights will challenge the Warriors at 6:30  p.m. Charlottesville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
Charlottesville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Louisa County on Monday. The Black Knights were the clear victors by  an  11-2 margin over the Lions.
Meanwhile, while it was Western Albemarle who put the first  runs on the board on Friday, it was Goochland who put up more. The Warriors fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  5-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Western Albemarle got a good showing from  Smith Winslow, who   tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Julian Miles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and three  runs.  Tyler Williams also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 Charlottesville is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Western Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
 Charlottesville suffered a grim  13-7 defeat to Western Albemarle  in their previous meeting  back in April. Can the Black Knights avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
