Football Game Preview: Sidney Eagles vs. Fergus Golden Eagles + How To Watch

Sidney hasn't had much luck against Fergus recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Sidney will be strutting in after a win while Fergus will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Sidney got the win against Hardin by a conclusive 39-16. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sidney's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gradin Sukut led the charge by throwing for 184 yards and four touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns Sukut has posted since back in August. 87 of Sukut's passing yards were hauled in by Brody Keysor, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Fergus was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by East Helena 42-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Eagles have suffered since November 16, 2024.

Fergus' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Sidney, their record now sits at 7-2.

Sidney took a serious blow against Fergus in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 49-8. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Golden Eagles' McKay Shobe, who threw for 149 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards and one score. Now that the Eagles know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
