Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Poly

Monroe is 1-8-1 against Poly since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Monroe Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Poly Parrots at 4:00 p.m.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Monroe turned things around against West Ranch last Saturday. They and the Wildcats finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Vikings have been dealt a draw since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Poly was a bit more limited in their match last Saturday. They came up short against Ventura, falling 5-1.

Monroe's draw makes their record 1-7-2 this season. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Monroe came up short against Poly when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Monroe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
