Basketball Recap: Tarvar Baskerville Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Leo

There's no place like home for New Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 75-65 victory over the Leo Lions on Friday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 66-57 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Haven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tarvar Baskerville, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamal Lawrence, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 16 points and six boards.

The victory got New Haven back to even at 7-7. As for Leo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

New Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-46 loss against Carroll on the 18th. As for Leo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-40 win against East Noble on the 25th.
