Goldthwaite lost to San Saba back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Eagles strolled past the Armadillos with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why San Saba lost, don't look at Luke Tharp. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Tharp also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 13 total tackles and defending one pass.
