Baseball Recap: Iowa Colony Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Iowa Colony nor La Porte made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pioneers fell 4-1 to the Bulldogs. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Iowa Colony's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for La Porte, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iowa Colony will host Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for La Porte, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dawson at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.8, the Eagles 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
