Volleyball Recap: ALA - Gilbert North Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. ALA - Gilbert North fell 2-0 to O'Connor.

Kristyn Grantham paced ALA - Gilbert North's offense, picking up eight kills. Grantham got some help from Kylie Christiansen and her 14 assists. Christiansen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abby Howard, racking up two apiece.

ALA - Gilbert North's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for O'Connor, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coincidentally, ALA - Gilbert North and O'Connor will both be playing Perry the next time they take the court. ALA - Gilbert North will head out to face Perry at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while O'Connor will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
