Basketball Recap: Handley Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Handley Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Alcovy Tigers and fell 52-50.

Handley's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Alcovy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Handley Tigers face off against the Munford Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alcovy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Habersham Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Alcovy likes a good challenge.
