Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Bengals vs. Newark Academy Minutemen
Bloomfield extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 3-8 in the process. They lost 9-1 to the Newark Academy Minutemen. That's two games in a row now that the Bengals have lost by exactly eight runs.
Bloomfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Obiedzinski, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will challenge Cedar Grove at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newark Academy, they will take on Oratory Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
