Softball Recap: Masterman Takes a Loss

Masterman lost against Abraham Lincoln back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Masterman lost 14-8 to the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters.

Masterman's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Abraham Lincoln, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Masterman will host Olney at 3:15 p.m. on March 27th. As for Abraham Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Philadelphia Performing Arts at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Philadelphia Performing Arts knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Abraham Lincoln likes a good challenge.
