Basketball Game Preview: Sweetwater Wildcats vs. Meigs County Tigers

The Sweetwater Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Meigs County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sweetwater is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 9th on Thursday. They came up short against Gibbs, falling 65-39. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Meigs County ended up a good deal behind McMinn County on Tuesday and lost 77-60. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cherokees recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meigs County's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sweetwater, they moved to 7-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Sweetwater and Meigs County were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Sweetwater came up empty-handed after a 61-60 loss. Can Sweetwater avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
