Esperanza won the last time they faced California and things went their way on Thursday too. The Aztecs strolled past the Condors with points to spare, taking the game 82-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aztecs.

California's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aham Nwosu, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Alvarez, who put up eight points.

Esperanza's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for California, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Esperanza will take on Kennedy in a tournament on Monday. As for California, they will head out to take on Huntington Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
