After a string of three wins, Fort Lee's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 13-6 to the Westwood Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bridgemen have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Marcus Lee was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. CJ Senatore was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Fort Lee's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Westwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Fort Lee will take on Memorial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bridgemen's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westwood, they will square off against Northern Highlands at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Highlanders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
