Baseball Recap: Heights Comes Up Short

If Heights was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of South last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 10-5 to the East Blue Aces on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Aces earlier this season, when they won 14-3.

Kingston Matchett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Carter Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Heights dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Heights beat the Blue Aces by a score of 14-3 later that day.
