Basketball Game Preview: Arvada Bulldogs vs. Arrupe Jesuit Generals

After both having extra time off, the Arvada Bulldogs and the Arrupe Jesuit Generals will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arvada will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Arvada came up into this matchup off a tough 51-point defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Lincoln by a score of 46-44 two weeks ago.

While Arrupe Jesuit didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 53-48 W over Skyview two weeks ago.

Arrupe Jesuit's win came from a few key players Arvada will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mario Cabrera, who posted 15 points. Manuel Loya was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Arrupe Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Arvada, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Arvada came up short against Arrupe Jesuit in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 55-51. Can Arvada avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
