Baseball Game Preview: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Mountain View Bruins

For the second straight game, Timpanogos will face off against Mountain View. The Timberwolves will venture away from home to square off against the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Timpanogos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Timpanogos took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Mountain View. Considering the Timberwolves have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Canyon Clegg spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Sotelo, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Partridge, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Timpanogos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only posted an OBP of .174.

Timpanogos has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
