Softball Recap: Bayard Tigers vs. Chase County Longhorns        
        
		
             Bayard never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victor by  a  12-0 margin over the Chase County Longhorns. Considering the Tigers have won nine contests by more than nine  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 The team  relied heavily on  Jenna Flores, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shayleigh West, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bayard  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .692. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  OBP total in three consecutive  matchups.
 Bayard pushed their record up to 11-10-1 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Chase County,  they are  on  a  50-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.
 Bayard will welcome Alliance  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Chase County, they will head out to  challenge Kearney Catholic  on Tuesday. Kearney Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
