Game recap: Arleta High School Football Team wins against Cleveland

ARLETA, Calif. - Arleta (Calif.) took an early lead against Cleveland (Reseda, Calif.) and held on for a 42-6 victory on Saturday.

The Mustangs put up 21 points in the opening frame. Arleta scored on a touchdown pass by Gabriel Martinez to Kevin Moore, a punt return touchdown by Isaiah Gable and a Martinez touchdown pass to Moore.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Martinez to Moore in the first quarter, AHS led 35-0 at the half.

The Mustangs expanded their lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. Arleta's lone score in the quarter came on a Martinez touchdown run.

Cleveland's lone touchdown came on a 92-yard run in the fourth quarter.



When the two teams played each other last season, AHS came away with a 68-23 victory.

With the win the Mustangs extended their winning streak to three games.
