Volleyball Recap: Jake Gagnon Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Sci-Tech

Granby's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Sci-Tech CyberCats by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the CyberCats: they've now won three in a row.

Granby walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-27, 25-17.

Granby's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Gagnon led the charge by getting 14 kills and four aces. The dominant performance also gave Gagnon a new career-high in assists (20). Another player making a difference was Braeden Gallagher, who had 12 kills, 12 digs, and three aces.

Granby's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Sci-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Granby will welcome Sabis International at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sci-Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Athol at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
