Basketball Recap: Savoy Takes a Loss

Savoy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-40 to the Wolfe City Wolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Wolfe City found their leader in sophomore Noah Adams, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Adams is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. Another player making a difference was Major Steele, who posted nine points and three steals.

Savoy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Wolfe City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Savoy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-31 win against Campbell on the 14th. As for Wolfe City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-29 loss against Honey Grove on the 17th.
