Baseball Game Preview: Monument Valley Mustangs vs. Tuba City Warriors

The Monument Valley Mustangs will head out to face off against the Tuba City Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Monument Valley is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Monument Valley came up short against Window Rock and fell 10-7.

Zephanario Smith and Roque Todacheene stepped up to the plate in a big way. Smith went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI, while Todacheene went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were Smith's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaden Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Tuba City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Page.

Tuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Monument Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Monument Valley suffered a grim 19-7 defeat to Tuba City in their previous meeting on April 1st. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
