Basketball Game Preview: Berea Bulldogs vs. Daniel Lions

The Berea Bulldogs will take on the Daniel Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Berea's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

On Monday, Berea opened the new year with a less-than-successful 67-58 defeat to Seneca.

Daniel has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Greer on Monday, falling 70-48. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Berea will have to keep a close watch on Tristyn Carrington and Will Swann, a pair of players who had a big impact on Daniel's prior game. Carrington went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds, while Swann posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Carrington has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. James Epting was another key player, putting up five points.

Daniel's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Berea, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.
