Northwestern Lehigh has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northern Lehigh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Northwestern Lehigh needed a bit of extra time to put away Lehighton. They blew past the Indians 9-3. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Cole Dynda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Cannon Fitch was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Eli Zimmerman was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Northern Lehigh hadn't done well against Saucon Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Panthers 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
The team relied heavily on Parker Schaffer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Northern Lehigh's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Brayden Buskirk, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Northern Lehigh hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saucon Valley struck out six times.
Northern Lehigh's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Northwestern Lehigh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Everything went Northwestern Lehigh's way against Northern Lehigh in their previous matchup back in March, as Northwestern Lehigh made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
