Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Wildcats vs. Canton Cobras

Plymouth is 0-10 against Canton since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Plymouth Wildcats will challenge the Canton Cobras at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Plymouth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-42 to Howell.

Meanwhile, Canton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They snuck past the Rocks with a 60-54 victory. With that win, the Cobras brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.

Plymouth better keep an eye on Teddy Winstel. He was instrumental in Canton's win, going 9 of 15 on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave Winstel a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noa Tarquinto, who posted six points and six steals.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Plymouth couldn't quite finish off Canton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 56-54. Can Plymouth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
