Soccer Game Preview: Bellaire vs. Lake Creek

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Bellaire challenge Lake Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bellaire's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. Everything went their way against Wisdom as Bellaire made off with a 7-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Their offense was hitting Wisdom from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Paula Nichols led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lake Creek waltzed into their game last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Cubs 4-0. The Lions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Lake Creek pushed their record up to 15-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Bellaire, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
